Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition to the nurse or supervisor.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure and weight as directed by the RN.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands when needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a warm, patient demeanor.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
