Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient comfort
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and maintain imaging equipment
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for daily operations
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Current CPR certification
