Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (Epic/Dentrix)
- Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal supply levels
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed
Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma from accredited Dental Assisting program
- Current Minnesota Dental Assistant license or registration
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with dental radiography and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Exceptional communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
