Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers
- Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage details
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance follow-ups
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure coding accuracy
- Update patient records with billing information
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or CIC preferred)
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential patient data securely
- Experience with insurance claim denials management
