Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital health records
- Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms following OSHA protocols
- Take precise dental radiographs and perform chairside assistance
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Train new staff on practice-specific protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging systems (DEXIS, Schick)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and materials
- Ability to manage multiple patient schedules efficiently
