Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict OSHA compliance
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Provide chairside support including suction, instrument transfer, and material preparation
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide under dentist supervision
- Train new staff on infection control protocols and practice procedures
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate's degree in Dental Assisting from accredited program
- Current DANB/RDA certification and Massachusetts radiology license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging (Pano, CBCT) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and dental compliance regulations
