Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean environment for patient safety.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, handing instruments and maintaining visibility.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and prepare patient charts.
- Greet patients warmly, confirm appointments, and manage patient records with accuracy.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards at all times.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license or certification in the State of Oregon.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
