Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures using proper four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs
- Manage patient records using digital software (Epic/Carestream)
- Administer topical anesthetics and fluoride treatments
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Oversee inventory and restock dental supplies
- Maintain clean, organized operatories between patients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No dental experience necessary – training provided!
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods (6-8 hours)
- Ohio radiology permit required (training included)
- Background check and drug screen required
