Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound sterile preparations
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory with advanced tracking systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and prescription databases
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives and medication therapy management
- Operate automated dispensing equipment and pharmacy management software
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 3 years of hospital or specialty pharmacy experience
- Expert knowledge of KY pharmacy regulations and DEA protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Strong mathematical skills for compounding and dosage calculations
- CPR certification preferred
