Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments (including chairside support and instrument handling)
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain clinical inventory
- Deliver post-procedure instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and billing support
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Virginia
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency with dental imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
