Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suction management, and oral evacuation
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Update and maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with dental radiography equipment and techniques
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent chairside assisting skills and dexterity
- Exceptional patient communication and time management abilities
