Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA compliance standards
- Manage patient flow through efficient scheduling and chairside coordination
- Take accurate dental radiographs and digital impressions using advanced technology
- Perform administrative tasks including patient records management and inventory control
- Delve patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-ray) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of infection control protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create patient rapport
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision
