Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and crown placements
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs with digital imaging technology
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize all instruments per OSHA guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for seamless clinical workflows
- Provide chairside support and patient education on post-operative care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management
- Coordinate front desk duties including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS, Sirona) practice management software
- Current CPR/BLS certification and DANB radiology certification
- Exceptional chairside manners and ability to manage anxious patients
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards
- High school diploma or equivalent with dental assisting program completion
