Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using advanced dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Coordinate scheduling and optimize patient flow in the operatory
- Provide post-procedure instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Assist in inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
