Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques
- Maintain clean, sanitized environments and infection control protocols
- Support patients with emotional and social needs under nursing supervision
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Adhere to all HIPAA and facility-specific regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Active Texas CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for vulnerable populations
- No prior experience necessary – training provided
- Background check and drug screen required
