Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Provide mobility assistance and transfer patients safely
- Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Support infection control protocols and maintain clean environments
- Participate in care planning meetings and team collaboration
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Massachusetts CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
