Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health Status: Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely from bed to wheelchair or walk around the facility, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and their families, providing companionship and a listening ear.
- Documentation: Accurately complete patient care logs and shift reports.
- Medication Assistance: Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, remind patients to take their prescribed medications.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current and valid North Carolina CNA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience: No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training for motivated candidates.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
