Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care and support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Current CNA certification or eligibility to obtain one in North Carolina.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to document care accurately.
