Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nurses and physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures as directed.
- Patient Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the medical team, reporting changes in patient condition or concerns immediately.
- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.
- Meal Assistance: Serve and monitor patient meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a CNA training program is preferred for entry-level candidates, but we will train enthusiastic candidates.
- License/Certification: Current CNA certification (or willingness to obtain) required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
