- Process and submit medical claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Investigate and resolve claim denials/rejections within 5 business days
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Perform coding audits using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines
- Generate monthly reports on claim submission metrics
- Collaborate with physicians' offices to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Strong analytical skills for claim resolution
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week with flexible scheduling
- Excellent written communication for payer correspondence
