Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Take and record blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature as directed by the RN/LPN.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely transfer and assist residents with walking or using wheelchairs, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document resident care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with residents, offering companionship and a listening ear to enhance their quality of life.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals and assist residents who need help feeding themselves.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and assist in emergency situations as trained.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a CNA certification program is a plus but not mandatory for our entry-level candidates.
- License: Valid CNA certification preferred; willing to obtain if currently in school.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping the elderly and those with medical needs.
- Reliability: Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
