Responsibilities
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Document Patient Data: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans as directed by nursing staff.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer compassionate communication and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Maintain Environment: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Administer Medications: Assist in the distribution of medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current and valid state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
