Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient intake/output, and behavioral changes
- Assist with medical procedures under nursing supervision (e.g., wound care, catheterization)
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments following infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Support patient independence while respecting dignity and confidentiality
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team huddles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Maryland CNA certification or enrollment in state-approved training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills with empathy and patience
- Clean background check and drug screening required
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
