Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and electronic health records
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or eligibility required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
