Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and patient evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in clinical status or emergencies.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and disease management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required; ACLS preferred for high-acuity units.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
