Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and assist with code blue or other emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred for new hires).
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
