Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer medications and perform basic clinical tasks per protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communication
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with infection control standards
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection and processing
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with patients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must pass background check and drug screening
