Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Perform basic laboratory duties, including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EHR systems quickly.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- A friendly, patient-centric attitude and professional demeanor.
