Responsibilities
- Greet and Check-In Patients: Welcome patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for their appointment.
- Vital Signs & Measurements: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist providers during patient exams.
- Phlebotomy & Injections: Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by providers; perform basic phlebotomy when qualified.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, file insurance claims, and answer phone inquiries professionally.
- Patient Education: Provide instructions on medication usage and follow-up care to patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program preferred.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and comfort with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level position.
