As a Medical Assistant, you will:
Be the bridge between our patients and our clinical team, ensuring a smooth and positive healthcare experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by escorting them to the exam room, reviewing their medical history, and taking vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurses during clinical procedures, including administering injections, drawing blood (phlebotomy), and changing dressings.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately record results in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide patient education on medications, diets, and post-procedure care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room and medical equipment.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, handle insurance verification, and manage front desk reception duties as needed.
- Handle incoming inquiries via phone or email with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
