Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examination by the provider.
- Vitals & Admin: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, weight, and height.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses during procedures, examinations, and minor surgeries.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate patient charts, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Inventory: Monitor and order medical supplies and equipment to ensure the clinic is fully stocked.
- Communication: Communicate clearly with patients and staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is highly desired.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
