Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and minor treatments
- Measure vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and sterilize equipment
- Perform ECGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with accurate patient information
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or certificate
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
