Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sanitized and ready for patient use.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, taking vital signs, and recording medical histories.
- Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient records, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred, or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting patients or equipment.
- Ethical demeanor and strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
