Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with the processing and filling of prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare medications for dispensing, including labeling and packaging.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and counting pharmaceutical products.
- Communicate with patients to answer questions regarding prescriptions and medications.
- Verify insurance information and process billing claims.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment in compliance with state regulations.
- Operate pharmacy software systems and handle cash transactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to obtain required certification upon hire.
