Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures under supervision
- Process and label specimens accurately following HIPAA protocols
- Verify patient identity and prepare collection equipment
- Maintain clean and organized workstations and specimen processing areas
- Document collection data in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide basic patient care with empathy and professionalism
- Adhere to all OSHA and CLIA safety standards
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary – we provide training!
- Valid CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency for EHR documentation
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Ohio driver's license preferred for mobile collections
