Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to healthcare providers promptly
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and safety committees
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois RN license (or eligible to obtain immediately)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
