Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment monitoring
- Document patient assessments and care plans using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care strategies
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate interventions
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge plans
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and hospital safety regulations
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain accurate shift documentation
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- CPR certification from an accredited provider
- Clinical rotation experience in medical-surgical, emergency, or critical care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Passion for patient advocacy and evidence-based practice
