Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across diverse clinical units under preceptor guidance
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans and patient education
- Participate in rapid response teams and emergency protocols as part of residency training
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
- Complete specialized rotations in critical care, emergency, and progressive care units
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN) required
- Active North Carolina RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Pass NCLEX-RN examination results or scheduled test date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Clinical rotation experience in hospital setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to professional development through residency program
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends during training
