Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through observation, medical history, and interviews.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and report significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and self-care.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or Master of Science in Nursing).
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain licensure (FL RN) without restriction.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
