Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Respond to emergent situations with calmness, efficiency, and adherence to hospital protocols.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for new graduates.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities essential for patient safety.
- Current state of California health screening clearance.
