Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency situations
- Complete thorough handoffs using SBAR communication framework
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Active North Carolina RN license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Pass NCLEX-RN exam or scheduled testing date
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Clinical rotation experience in medical-surgical or critical care settings
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and compassion for patient care
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, and weekends as needed
