Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures under supervision
- Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for operations
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Transport patients and surgical specimens safely
- Inventory and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in continuous training and skills development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills
- Valid CPR certification (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must complete paid training program (6 months)
