Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical equipment and maintain sterile environments in operating rooms
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Transport patients and equipment safely between surgical suites
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Follow strict sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- No prior surgical tech experience required – we train from day one!
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic understanding of medical terminology (training provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during training)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and on-call shifts
