Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons with instrument passing and sterile supply management
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens and equipment sterilization processes
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification within 6 months of hire
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique adherence
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
