Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments via phone and telehealth using standardized triage protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system with real-time physician collaboration
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up care coordination
- Manage high-volume call queues while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for complex case management
- Maintain emergency department resource inventory and supply chain
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or eligible for licensure)
- BSN degree or enrollment in accredited nursing program
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and empathy skills
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn EMR systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Valid BLS certification (provided if not current)
- No prior triage experience required
