Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers via phone and in-person
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-pressure emergency situations
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies at all times
- Participate in continuous training to enhance clinical skills
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain immediately
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (provided if not currently certified)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
