Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and document client progress accurately
- Administer prescribed medications using provided medical equipment
- Transport clients to medical appointments using agency-provided vehicles
- Maintain a safe, clean environment using supplied mobility aids and safety devices
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with provided lifting equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate demeanor with patience and cultural sensitivity
- Reliable transportation to Durham locations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
