Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including crowns, veneers, and implants
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper sterilization protocols
- Manage patient flow and prepare treatment rooms with precision
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Execute infection control procedures per OSHA standards
- Manage digital records and chairside software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Train new assistants on clinic workflows and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Dental Assistant license or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and CBCT imaging
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized institution
- Expertise in infection control and sterilization techniques
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Experience with dental practice management software
