Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking medical histories and vital signs
  • Assist dentists during treatments including instrument passing, suctioning, and four-handed dentistry
  • Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper radiation safety protocols
  • Manage infection control by sterilizing instruments and maintaining treatment areas
  • Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software and schedule appointments
  • Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
  • Order dental supplies and maintain inventory levels
  • Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification

Qualifications

  • Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California
  • X-ray certification and CPR certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
  • Proficiency in dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
