Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort during treatments
- Assist dentists with clinical procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Sterilize and maintain dental equipment according to OSHA standards
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Coordinate inventory and ordering of dental supplies
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Current New York State Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital imaging and practice management software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
